As India prepare for the third and final ODI, which is scheduled to be played in Indore on Tuesday, a few members of the unit paid a visit to Ujjain’s famed Mahakaleswar temple and offered prayers. Suryakumar Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav, and Washington Sundar, accompanied with other staffs visited the temple on Monday morning.
Suryakumar Yadav also said that he offered prayers to Mahakal for the speedy recovery of his teammate Rishabh Pant, who met with a horrific car crash last month. “We prayed for the speedy recovery of Rishabh Pant. His comeback is very important to us,” Suryakumar Yadav told ANI.
“We have already won the series against New Zealand, looking forward to the final match against them,” he added.

Pant met with the accident on the wee hours of December 30 and suffered a number of serious injuries. He was initially receiving treatment at the Max Hospital in Dehradun, before being airlifted to Mumbai for further process.
The cricketer had recently updated the fans that he is on the “road to recovery” and is ready for the new challenges ahead. In addition, Pant also shared a photo of two individuals, who rescued him from the blazing vehicle after it crashed on a divider.
Meanwhile, as per ANI inputs the players and the staff also participated in the ‘Bhasma Aarti’ of Lord Shiva that was performed in the early morning hours at the temple.
The players donned traditional attire – dhoti and angavastram – and posed for pictures with the staff of the Indian cricket team.
After completing a whitewash over Sri Lanka earlier this month, Team India have already taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. With New Zealand crumbling for just 108 in the second ODI, it shouldn’t come as a surprise if the hosts went on to secure another cleansweep in consecutive series.
